This is going to be a great game. Both teams have plenty of time to plan for their opponent and expect it to show. I’m not jumping on any bandwagon that this will be a shootout between Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. In fact, I don’t like the odds for the Saints passing game very much at all. Don’t get me wrong, Brees will move the ball, but not to the extent most will expect. I expect the Packers defense at home to bend, but not break against the passing game. If the Saints want any chance to win this game they will have to control the clock and run the ball like crazy.
START
Aaron Rodgers, QB – The Saints will pressure him, but he will show off at home to the tune of 2-3 TDs and 275 yards.
JerMichael Finley, TE – Nobody can cover this guy on the Saints. He will be on the receiving end of 1 or 2 of Rodgers TD passes.
James Starks, RB – The Saints won’t know what to do with him.
Jimmy Gramme, TE – He should be on the receiving end of most of Brees’ passes. A TD is not out of the question.
Marques Colston, WR
Mark Ingram, RB – He could have the biggest day of everyone outside of Rodgers.
BENCH
Saints Defense – Don’t even bother. They have a very good defense, but not on the road, not against Rodgers.
Ryan Grant, RB
Donald Driver, WR
Lance Moore, WR – OUT
On The Fence (Meaning, you go with your gut)
Drew Brees, QB – He is likely looking at 300 yards and a TD. Unless you have a superb backup, you have to start your stud.
Pierre Thomas, RB – I expect the Saints to employ two backs all game. The question is, how many carries will he get?
Greg Jennings, WR – You have to start him, but I just don’t think he will find the end zone.
SLEEPERS
Robert Meacham, WR – Meacham can burn anyone on Packers defense. The Saints will test that theory.
Jordy Nelson, WR – He will be the #2 WR in Green Bay. He will also get a TD in this game.
James Starks, RB – I’m willing to bet Starks touches the ball 15 times.
